Saylor 3 months

Age: 3 months

Height: 23 inches

Weight: probably close to 13 pounds

Head: 38.5
Milestones: Saylor has started to squeal and blow bubbles at you. She can roll from her sides to her back when placed on her sides. She is almost starting to roll over when placed on her tummy.
Sleep: Sleep seems to be a little better this month. On good days she will take a 1 1/2 to 2 hour morning and afternoon nap with a 30 or 45 minute late afternoon nap. She continues to sleep good at night on most nights waking up around 2am to eat. She goes down between 7:00 and 7:30 and will usually sleep a long stretch of 5-7 hours then wakes to eat and goes back down for 2-3 hours. I try to get her up at 7:00-7:30 each day.
Best Moment: I love when she takes long naps because she wakes up happy smiling and cooing.
Worst Moment: still have fussy days here and there :-(
Health:The doctor said she looks healthy.
Eating: Eating seems to be much better this month. She will usually take all of her bottles at either 3-5 ounces. At night she takes 6 ounces with rice cereal and a little bit of Karo syrup.
Teeth: Nope, but drooling a lot and putting her hands in her mouth.
Extra comments: Saylor is becoming more aware of things and likes to look at the trees move on our walks and black and white toys on her mobiles. She is beginning to find her voice and is starting to make louder sounds. She is starting to reach for and grasp toys. She likes to do ab crunches and try and sit up. I hold her hands and pull her up when she does this and she really thinks she is big stuff!!

Saylor 2 months

Age: 2 months
Height: 23 inches    64 percentile
Weight: 11.7 lbs   56 percentile
Head: 38.5    33 percentile
Milestones: Saylor has started to smile and talk back and forth making coo sounds at you. She can roll from her sides to her back when placed on her sides.
Sleep: Sleep seems to be similar this month. She still likes taking cat naps and wakes up every 30 or 45 minutes. We can usually get one good 2 hour nap out of her in the afternoon. She sleeps good at night. She goes down between 7:15 and 8pm and will usually sleep a long stretch of 4-6 hours then wakes to eat and goes back down for 2-3 hours. I try to get her up at 7:00-7:30 each day.
Best Moment: I love when she takes long naps because she wakes up happy smiling and cooing.
Worst Moment: only taking cat naps throughout the day. :-(
Health:The doctor said she looks healthy.
Eating: Saylor has had difficulty eating the last few weeks. She sometimes will only take an ounce or refuse to take any. I took out dairy and gassy foods from my diet about a month ago hoping to rule out any food sensitivities. I wasn't sure if that was the issue. We took her to her pediatrician, GI doctor and got an swallow study and x-Ray of her tummy to rule out possibilities. The GI doctor suggested 'thrush' and prescribed a medicine to put in her mouth. I have seen a difference with her taking bottles and she will now eat 3-4 ounces at a time. She still has bouts of fussiness like her tummy hurts, but I am hoping that will change in the next couple months.
Teeth: Nope
Extra comments: Saylor is becoming more aware of things and likes to look at the trees move on our walks and black and white toys on her mobiles. She is beginning to find her voice and is starting to make louder sounds.

Saylor 1 month

Age: 1 month
Height: 21 inches
Weight: 8.7 lbs
Head:  36
Milestones: Saylor does pretty good holding her head up. She loves looking around to see what's going on.
Sleep: Saylor does not like to take naps. She will go down easily once she cues us she is tired, but will cat nap for only 30 minutes or so. If we put her pacifier back in her month she will go back to sleep, but wake up again within a matter of minutes. She seems to do better at night. Saylor will do 2 to 3 hour stretches and usually go right back to sleep. I try to get her down around 8pm and up at 7am.
Best Moment: Seeing Avy as her big sister!
Worst Moment: Saylor is becoming pretty fussy after feedings. I took her to the doctor and they said it could be reflux. They prescribed previcid and a tummy muscle relaxer. I also have her on gas drops daily. I have not seen much improvement with her fussiness.
Health:The doctor said she looks healthy.
Eating: Saylor fluctuates with her eating habits. She usually takes 2 ounces every 3 hours, but sometimes she takes less. She seems to have difficulty taking a bottle.
Teeth: Nope
Extra comments: I'm trying to enjoy this newborn phase as much as I can. I know it goes by fast. I forgot how difficult it actually was though. Especially with two little ones! :-(

Riding the train

We went to Anthem yesterday to do some shopping at the outlet mall. Avy got to ride the train. We're not really too sure if she liked it or not.
